Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how CodeRed Technologies, Inc. ("CodeRed", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal information in connection with RouteIQ, our dispatch software platform and website (the "Service").
1. Our Two Roles
We handle personal information in two distinct capacities:
- As a controller for information about website visitors and the people who create and administer RouteIQ accounts.
- As a processor for the data our business customers run through the platform: their customers' contact details, job records, and their drivers' location data. That data belongs to the business, and we process it on their instructions. If you are a customer or driver of a business that uses RouteIQ, direct privacy requests to that business; we will assist them in fulfilling your request.
2. Information We Collect
- Account and contact information: name, email address, and phone number when you request access, create an account, or contact us.
- Operational data: jobs, stops, addresses, customer records, vehicle details, and custom fields that businesses enter into the platform.
- Driver location data: GPS positions reported by the driver mobile app while drivers are on duty, used for dispatch, arrival estimates, and location history.
- Communications: messages sent through in-app chat, and SMS or WhatsApp messages exchanged with the AI assistant.
- Payment information: processed by Stripe. We store payment method references, never full card numbers.
- Usage and log data: technical information about how the Service is used, collected to operate, secure, and improve it.
3. How We Use Information
- To provide the Service: dispatching, route optimization, arrival estimates, notifications, chat, and reporting.
- To respond to access requests and support inquiries.
- To generate AI assistant replies: messages to the assistant are processed by our AI provider solely to produce a response.
- To protect the security and integrity of the Service, including fraud prevention and the audit log.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run the platform, each bound to use it solely to provide their service to us:
- Payment processing (Stripe)
- SMS and WhatsApp messaging (Twilio)
- Email delivery (Mailgun)
- Push notifications (Google Firebase)
- Voice and video calls (LiveKit)
- AI assistant responses (Anthropic)
- Mapping, geocoding, and routing providers
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers
- Uptime monitoring and the status page (Better Stack)
- Contact form delivery (Formspree) and spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA)
We may also disclose information when required by law, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy will continue to apply to the transferred data.
5. Location Data
Driver location is collected through the driver app while a driver is on shift, at the direction of the driver's employer. It powers live maps, arrival estimates, geofence events, and queryable location history available to that employer. Businesses are responsible for informing their drivers about tracking and obtaining any required consent.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. Business data, including location history and audit logs, is retained for the life of the customer relationship and deleted or returned after account closure, subject to a reasonable wind-down period.
7. Security
Data is isolated per tenant, access is governed by role-based permissions, integration credentials are encrypted at the field level at rest, and changes are recorded in an append-only audit log. Data is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your operations data with the care we would demand for our own.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing under laws such as the GDPR and CCPA. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@routeiq.app. If your data is processed on behalf of a business that uses RouteIQ, we will route your request to them and assist in fulfilling it. We do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
9. International Transfers
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
11. Cookies
Our website uses only the cookies necessary for it to function. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our status page embeds a widget from Better Stack, which may set its own functional cookies, and our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA, which sets its own cookies to tell humans from bots. Because we do not track visitors across third-party websites, we do not respond to Do Not Track signals.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here and update the date above, and we will notify active customers of material changes.
13. Contact
