Understand your plan and usage

Check how your operation is using its plan, see which sites contribute to the total, and manage the RouteIQ subscription from the right billing screen.

There are two different payment relationships. Settings → Billing manages what your organization pays for RouteIQ. The Stripe integration manages payments your customers make to your business.

Read the current plan

Use a dispatcher or administrator account. Dispatchers can view plan and usage information; administrators can open billing management and eligible checkout actions.

  1. Select the correct organization and site, then open Settings → Billing.
  2. Read Current plan and its status. Look for a renewal date or, when cancellation is scheduled, a cancellation date.
  3. Review Included jobs / site, Max sites, and any displayed Sites (seats) or Overage information.
  4. Use See plans & pricing for the current plan terms and billable-work definition. Compare those with your account before making a plan decision.

The subscription belongs to the organization. The Sites (seats) label refers to sites in that subscription, not a count of drivers or dispatchers. See Organizations and sites before creating a new operating location.

Use the site breakdown

  1. Read Usage this period and the displayed period dates, when available.
  2. Compare the reported jobs used with the included total. Use the actual numbers as well as the progress bar.
  3. Review Per site to understand which locations contribute to the organization's usage.
  4. Select Refresh to reload the available summary after returning to this screen.

Usage updates hourly, so completing work does not necessarily change the total immediately. Refresh reloads the available data; it does not force the next usage calculation.

Use current terms when planning costs.

Plan allowances, pricing, and the definition of billable work belong on the pricing page and your subscription. This guide explains how to inspect your account without freezing those amounts into another page.

If no billing period is shown, avoid treating the displayed total as a calendar-month report. Confirm the subscription setup and period with an administrator.

Manage the subscription

  1. Sign in as an administrator and open Settings → Billing.
  2. If the organization has a billing account, select Manage billing in Stripe.
  3. Review the subscription and the available payment method, invoice, plan-change, or cancellation controls in the billing portal.
  4. Read the timing and amount shown by the portal before confirming a change.
  5. Return to RouteIQ and select Refresh. Check the plan status and any renewal or cancellation date.

For an eligible organization without a billing account, or one restarting a canceled subscription, administrators may see Choose Free plan and Upgrade to Pro. Follow checkout and review its details before confirming. Enterprise subscriptions are handled separately; contact support if you need help changing one.

Troubleshooting

I can view usage but cannot manage billing

Ask an administrator. Dispatcher access is for viewing; billing changes require an administrator account.

Manage billing in Stripe is missing

Check your role and whether Current plan says the organization has no billing account yet. Eligible administrators may need the checkout buttons instead.

The plan says Past due

Have an administrator open the billing portal and review the subscription's invoice and payment method. Return and refresh after resolving the issue.

The usage total looks unexpected

Check the organization, period, and per-site totals, allow for the hourly update, and compare against the current billable-work terms. If it still differs, send support the period, site, and example job IDs so they can investigate.

Information is missing or the page failed to load

Select Refresh or Retry. If one card loads without the other, do not assume the missing value is zero. If the portal cannot open, return to Billing and retry from there.
